Nora & Ilir: a two-day wedding between Prizren and Lake Ohrid
Two dresses, one veil and a very long drive.

Nora wanted two weddings: a traditional one with her family in Prizren and a quieter one by the water at Lake Ohrid, a day and a three-hour drive apart. She also wanted one veil to carry through both.
For Prizren we made a lace gown with long sleeves and a high neck, heavy enough to stand up to a long evening of dancing. For Ohrid, a bias-cut silk slip that packed into a garment bag on the back seat. The veil, cathedral length with a hand-rolled edge, worked with both.
She sent us one photograph afterwards, of the slip hanging from a hotel window over the lake. That one is pinned above the cutting table.
